Find Contact Information with Tools and People Look-up Sites

We finally find that “perfect candidate,” and there is no contact information to be found in sight. Don’t give up, it was challenging to find them in the first place. We must find other avenues that will hopefully lead us to being able to contact them.

There are several tools and techniques that can be used to find personal contact details. A successful sourcer will have a toolkit to choose from, because if one tool is not providing results, move onto the next. There are dozens of tools that can be used, but that list could go on for days. Here are a few tools that have been successful for me and recommend trying out. Click through to try each one!

People look up sites:

These are a few people look up sites that can easily identify individuals with only a name and state. It also provides other avenues to find information on an individual.

Pipl - Find contact, social media, and professional information about people.

Radius -Provides access to information about people, properties, businesses and professionals

Whitepages -Largest online directory in US with contact information

AnyWho - provides a free online directory where you can find people by their name, address or you can do a reverse lookup by phone number. It is updated weekly

Tools:

Extend yourself (literally). Use Chrome Extensions. Extensions are small software programs that can modify and enhance the functionality of the Chrome browser via a Toolbar icon. Here are some of my favorites:

Prophet (Free Edition) - Prophet finds emails, phone numbers, social profiles and more.

Contact Out (Free Edition) - Adds a powerful overlay on top of the LinkedIn profiles. You can see phone numbers, email addresses, links to social media and personal websites.

It is crucial in our industry to use time wisely while exploring new tools, so if something isn’t working, keep moving forward! You will find tools that others speak highly of that may or may not work for you, and the great news is the list of tools out there is almost endless.
